Hey, I’m That Girl That Does Floors. Real Name’s Skylar.
What began as survival turned into a studio.
When I started KREER, I wasn’t designing from a laptop.
I was waking up at 2:30 AM to quote jobs in silence before I clocked into someone else’s site for the day.
I didn’t have a driver’s license, investors, or a blueprint.
In those first days I was hauling debris, binding rugs, and gluing thousands of square feet of floor..
I wasn’t in it for the optics.
I was in it to build something that meant something.
By the time I turned 20, I had built and trained a team of subcontractors— all of them older than me, all of them men.
I taught myself how to write quotes, manage timelines, speak to GCs, and hold my ground in rooms where no one expected me to know what I was talking about.
But I did. Because I lived it.
Every single detail I now design—I’ve touched it, installed it, problem-solved it. And that experience informs everything I create today.
So… am I a decorator or a contractor?
Both.
And also a strategist, a writer, a painter, and a lifelong DIY girl who never waited for permission to figure things out.
I’ve spent years in the field installing floors, troubleshooting builds, managing crews, and bringing high-stakes commercial projects across the finish line.
But I’ve also earned decorating credentials from Interior Decorators International, studied marketing and writing with Smart Blogger, and been featured over 10 times in House Digest for my insight into flooring and the design-build process.
My strength isn’t just my aesthetic.
It’s my ability to see how every layer works together.
Let’s get something straight.
No, I didn’t get here because my dad did floors.
No, I’m not “just the decorator.”
And no, being polished doesn’t make me any less of a builder.
I built this brand from scratch with grit, grace, and more than a few split knuckles.
And I believe the trades deserve to be respected not by gender, but by skill.
Design isn’t fluff. Construction isn’t brute force.
Both are crafts. And when you understand both, you create magic.
That’s what KREER stands for.
That’s what I stand for.
I never had the luxury of doing just one thing so I became someone who could do it all.
Today, KREER is a full-service design studio built from those exact foundations: Work ethic. Vision. Soul.
We offer luxury flooring, curated interiors, and digital resources for clients who want more than good taste…they want something that will last.
Because I’ve been the girl no one believed in.
Now I build spaces that make people believe in what’s possible.
Curious how all this works in real life?
